Shop Cotswolds is delighted to welcome its newest member on board, Karobi’s Ghee. Based near Stroud Karobi makes award winning hand-made small batch Ghee from local organic grass-fed butter and organic spices.
Karobi started making Ghee due to issues with her own health and was astonished at how she was able to improve this with small dietary changes. She is now selling her Ghees at Farmers’ Markets around the Cotswolds and Bristol area as well as offering an online shop.
Her traditional plain Ghee has just been awarded a Great Taste 2023 three star award. Crafted only from organic grass-fed butter, this is simmered at a low temperature for many hours in small batches until the milk solids have separated and caramelised, which gives the product a distinctive, delicious nutty, fudgy ”brown butter” flavour. Other flavours are also available including roasted garlic, turmeric, ginger, cardamon and chocoghee.
