Iconic local brewer Stroud Brewery has reached the final stage of the Great British Pub Awards in the Sustainable Pub of the Year category. The awards take place on September 19th this year.
Additionally, the business has a new beer which is in the running for the title of New Beer of the Year. The session ale is termed Easy Peasy. That award ceremony takes place a month later on October 18th.
Over the last two months Stroud Brewery has won ten local and regional awards for its beer, the taproom and the way the business is run.
According to Greg Pilley, MD of Stroud Brewery, “This is fantastic recognition for the brewery and for the power of local. It shows that an independent, craft brewery can provide high quality, tasty beer as good – if not better – than any national brand whilst keeping the local community at the heart of what it does and doing what’s right by people and the planet.”
