The latest Domestic Sentiment Tracker for January 2024 from Visit Britain shows an increased confidence and improved perceptions in terms of the cost of living crisis, along with higher intentions for domestic and overseas trips.
Although just over 40% of UK adults believe that the worst of the cost of living crisis is still to come, this is the lowest this metric has been since tracking began.
Encouragingly, intentions for domestic overnight trips in the next year have reached a new high of 79%, up from 70% in January 2023.
