Shop Cotswolds was delighted to attend the Roots & Seeds Summer Fair over the weekend with the opportunity to showcase some of our producer members.
Held in the beautiful Cotswolds courtyard of the popular restaurant/deli venue in Cirencester, the day started quietly and with some drizzle. This did not dampen spirits or interest and tourists and locals alike were keen to see what we are about, our efforts to help promote buying local and the products on offer on the day.
On the stand with us were Buckies, the only business making crackers in the Cotswolds, and Copper Lion Distillery, a recent but very successful entrant to the ever popular gin segment. Both producers were soon engaged in conversations about their amazing products which led to some good sales opportunities.
Other members showcased on the day included
- Veg Life Eats – plant based products, known for their award- winning Scotch Eggs
- Selsley Foods – the home of mulling syrups, fine jams, preserves and chutneys
- Cuppa & Co – purveyors of specialist teas and tisanes
Overall, it was a fruitful day for all involved, helped immensely by the live music, great food provided by Roots & Seeds and the appearance of sun and blue skies!
