The British Ecological Society is holding a two day conference in Oxford on Nature, Farming and Food: How we Value our Land.
The symposium, to be held on 19 and 20 June, is being run in collaboration with TABLE, the Leverhulme Centre for Nature Recovery and the Agile Initiative.
The event will focus on four themes including valuing farming, biodiversity, food and knowledge.
- What does a just transition to ecologically-friendly farming look like?
- Does sustainable food production at home mean biodiversity loss elsewhere?
- Do we need livestock for flourishing ecosystems?
- What is a biodiversity-friendly diet?
- What common claims made about farming don’t have enough evidence?
