The latest Domestic Sentiment Tracker for July 2026 has been released by Visit Britain.
The British weather, the cost of living and personal finances were the top three reasons affecting domestic travel intentions in July 2026. According to the latest domestic sentiment tracker, 49% of Brits surveyed in July 2026, believe the ‘worst is still to come’, 2% higher than the previous month.
Results also show that 74% of adults are planning an overnight trip in the UK in the next 12 months, (5% lower than in June), while 56% are planning an overseas overnight trip in the next 12 months, also down by 5%.
