In the recent SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards 2023 a number of food and drink producers in the Cotswolds came up trumps.
Stroud Farmers Market was voted the Shopping and Leisure Destination of the Year, whilst Shop Cotswolds member Woodchester Valley Vineyard was selected as the Food/Drink Producer of the Year for its small production, premium quality English wines. Family run, the vineyard offers tours and accommodation as well as the wine itself and in the last year has attracted nearly 10,000 visitors.
Stroud Brewery scooped the Pub/Bar of the Year award, known for its organic craft beer, great taproom venue and continuing commitment to environmental sustainability. The brewery was also awarded the Lifestyle Business of the Year award.
Finally, The Cotswold Veg Box Co took the Independent Retailer of the Year award. Set up during lockdown delivering boxes of high-quality local fruit and vegetables to villages in the North Cotswolds, the business now operates a scaled up online retail presence, delivering over 300 boxes a week across Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire.
