Cotswolds artisan bakery The Little Bakery Company has recently been attending the Hankyu British Fair in Osaka in Japan.
Cotswolds businesses, including The Little Bakery, were chosen through a partnership between the Cotswolds Plus Visitor Local Economy Partnership and Hankyu Department Stores Japan.
The 2025 event focused on the English countryside bringing a taste of the Cotswolds region to Japan. With three stores in the Cotswolds, The Little Bakery Company presented its handmade breads, pastries and cakes to over 250,000 attendees over the week long event.
Organisers said the partnership reflects continuing interest from Japanese consumers in British heritage brands and forms part of wider efforts to ‘expand the global reach of rural British producers’ and ‘promote inbound tourism in the region.’
