Bourton on the Water based brewery Hawkstone Premium has been named as the best lager in England in the recent World Beer Awards 2024.
The pilsner won a Silver Award and the Hawkstone Session lager and Hawkstone Spa low-alcohol lager both taking Bronze awards.
The World Beer Awards are judged in 10 categories including, best wheat beer; stout and porter; speciality beer; sour and wild beer; pale beer; no and low alcohol beer; lager; IPA; flavoured beer; and dark beer. Following that within each category is a list of each beer by country, depending on entries, with the best overall beer sitting at the top — and Hawkstone Premium ranked the best in England, earning gold.
