Cotswolds based brewery Hawkstone has recently topped the Sunday Times list of the fastest growing private companies in the South West.
Jeremy Clarkson launched the brewery in 2021, using spring barley from his farm near Chipping Norton to make the lager. Since then, the business has expanded into more than 1,500 pubs across the UK and has also launched in UK retailers including Waitrose and Sainsburys. Tours and tasting events are also run from the brewery based near Bourton on the Water.
Among the eight businesses from the South West featured in this year’s list, Hawkstone is the only company based in Gloucestershire — and ranks 23rd out of 100 in the overall league table.
Hawkstone, which employs 35 people, almost tripled its sales to £21.3 million in the year to March 2025.
