Pound Farm Shop and Plant Centre , Whaddon in Gloucester, is a family owned farm where Jenny and Gerald’s daughter Kate keeps the shop and café topped up with homemade cakes and pies, baked in the kitchen within the shop.
Their son Rich keeps the farm updated and moving forwards, always looking for new ideas with his wife Rebeka, who opened up a café in 2020.
They have sheep, cattle and grow maize and wheat to feed their cattle and sheep, the straw is used for animal bedding. They’ve been growing potatoes for over 60 years to sell within the shop. The farmshop is stocked with homemade and local produce and products from businesses to include Godsells Cheese, Winstones Ice Cream, Cotswold Diary and Days Apple Juice in Brookthorpe.
