Shop Cotswolds was thrilled to receive an invite for a tour of the amazing FoodWorksSW facility this week.
Conveniently based just of the M5 towards Weston-super-Mare, the state of the art, purpose built facility offers an extensive range of services and consultancy to food and drink companies at every stage of their development from start-up to established enterprises.
Opened in April 2020, the food and drink innovation centre offers food-grade business units, product development facilities and a business engagement centre to help any business grow.
After a cuppa and chat with Becky and Beth on the marketing team in the on-site business lounge and coffee shop, we set off on a tour around the building.
We saw the four product development kitchens and a fully equipped trial kitchen which can allow businesses of any size to scale up production, introduce new lines, produce short runs and pilot improvements. We also got a chance to see the range of fully equipped meeting rooms and event space for conferences, workshops, seminars or networking events.
FoodWorksSW can also help with all aspects of technical support and new product development support for any food and drink product. Regular industry events and workshops are also held at the venue.
Shop Cotswolds will be exploring further opportunities to work more closely with FoodWorksSW as we continually look to support local food and drink producers.
