Successful Shop Cotswolds Networking at Woodchester Valley

With our third anniversary coming up Shop Cotswolds was delighted to hold our third networking evening for local food and drink producers at Woodchester Valley Vineyard.

Despite the windy conditions the sun shone and attendees came out in force to enjoy the hospitality and beautiful views that the vineyard offers. With up to 25 local producers turning up there was plenty of opportunity to network, make new connections, share best practice and forge new partnerships.

Starting with a delicious non-alcoholic verjus spritzer we were given an interesting talk about the history of the vineyard, the practicalities of growing wine, the changing climate conditions and then were delighted to sample their wares.

It was great to catch up with some of our full members including Woodchester Valley, Cotswold Orchard Herbs, Copper Lion Distillery and Uncommon Distillery as well as some of our free listing members including The Village Cakery, Mayhawk, Uley Brewery and Bow in the Cloud Vineyard. We were also delighted to meet some other local producers including Barney Wylds Kitchen, Brooke’s Dairy, Noni’s Coffee Roasters and Portway Farm Shop.

With delicious cheese samples kindly donated by Godsells Cheese and some non-alcoholic botanicals from The Drinks Kitchen, it was truly an evening to remember.

We’re already looking forward to our next networking event in October at Dr Fosters in Gloucester. Watch this space!
