Taste of the Harvest Day at Woodchester

Shop Cotswolds member Woodchester Valley reports that the relatively warm and sunny weather in August has been extremely welcome and has helped the vines catch up from a damp cool July. In the lead up to harvest the vineyard is hoping for a dry and sunny September to help ripen the grapes.

In this context Woodchester is holding its Taste of the Harvest day on 6 October when visitors can see at first hand what goes on at a vineyard during harvest season. Priced at £55, the tickets include

  • a welcome glass of Cotswold Classic on arrival
  • a tour of the vineyard and see grapes on the vine with a dedicated tour host
  • an insight of happens with the freshly picked grapes in the winery
  • a sample of fresh grape juice and fermenting juice straight from the tanks
  • local artisan pizza, salad and freshly made brownies from Velo Pizza
  • a glass of wine to pair with your food
