Tourism Contribution to Gloucester Economy

Recent figures from Visit Gloucester reveal that tourism contributes over £300 million to the local economy in the city.

In 2023 tourists spent just under £250 million in Gloucester.  Over a third of that was in Gloucester’s shops and another third was in restaurants and cafes — with the overall economic impact reaching £310 million in total.

The city is currently ranked second in Gloucestershire for attracting day trippers and third for staycations.
