Shop Cotswolds is delighted to welcome on board our newest member Poulton Hill Estate. Founded in 2010 the business produces a range of award winning still and sparkling wines and spirits.
9,750 vines have been planted on the south-facing slopes of Poulton Hill Estate, found near Cirencester. These vines can produce up to 20,000 bottles of wine a year and the company also produces English spirits, from grapes harvested by hand. These range from the white Bacchus, Seyval Blanc and Phoenix to the red Pinot Noir, Regent and Rondo.
With the onset of summer Poulton Hill has just launched its popular Tours and Tastings for the new season, bookable by appointment only. Each of the sessions involves a guided tour of the vineyard, where an explanation is provided about the methods for supporting, growing and pruning the vines, as well as a little about each grape variety and the wines produced from those grapes. The tour then heads back to the Cellar Door to taste the current vintages.
