The Southwest Grain Network has a mission to reconnect farmers, millers, bakers and communities through climate resilient crops, transparent supply chains and collective action.
Established in 2019, the aim is to improve local grain supply chains in the region that connects producers and suppliers directly.
The body advocates asking where your flour comes from and asking local bakeries to prioritise UK grown flour. Also, the suggestion is to read ingredient labels of bread to look for simple ingredients from local farms.
