Fresh Local Food via Vending Machines

Tuckshop, started in Gloucestershire, is expanding the vending machine into a destination for fresh, locally made food.

The business now has 21 Tuckshop sites across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire.

Inside the Tuckshop vending machines, customers will find a regularly-changing selection of sweet and savoury options – including cheesecakes, puddings and baked treats through to sausage rolls, scotch eggs and freshly made sandwich meal deals – all produced locally and restocked throughout the week. Rather than a traditional vending machine, the result is a deli style collection.

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Tuckshop vending machines are convenient – serving commuters, late-night workers, as well as communities where access to fresh food on the go can be limited. It has also created a unique new opportunity for local food producers to reach more potential customers.
