Visit Britain’s annual review held during English Tourism Week showed that visitors spent £673 million across the country between April 2021 and June 2022. The body estimates that international visitors will spend £29.5 billion during 2023, a rise of 4% on 2019, with 35.1 million visits, 86% of 2019 levels. On a domestic level the research shows that more than a third of Britons are more likely to choose a trip in the UK in the next six months compared to pre-pandemic.
The agency has just launched multi-million pound Great Britain marketing campaigns in the States, its largest and most valuable market, Canada, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and European markets.
